ART of RELATING
with MUSKAN

9-11 December
STOCKHOLM
‘’To relate with passion requires a depth of love and a compassionate understanding of both yourself and the other. Through use of various revealing encounter structures Muskan will support you to dive deep within yourself so you can see more clearly who you are in the mirror of the other. In this process self-acceptance grows, judgments of others start to fall away, and the path opens towards more nourishing and passionate relating’’
Art of Relating - Interview with Muskan
Muskan came to the Humaniversity because she was looking for experiential work instead of just reading books. There she found exactly what she needed – to feel, express, move her body, make close and deep friendships and love herself and others. This has transformed her life. The Art of Relating workshop contains the essence of what she has learned at the Humaniversity. “It is my joy to share this with others.” Muskan
1. What do you do in this workshop, and what can I expect as a participant?
Many people are unhappy because they live their lives in isolation. In this workshop we use communication exercises to make relating easier. We explore and express emotions that you may not be conscious of, which will free you and enable you to relate in new ways. You start to see yourself through the eyes of others and begin to accept and appreciate yourself for who you are. From a position of isolation you start to reach out and open your heart so that love can flow. This enables you to connect with others and accept them the way they are.
2. Why is it important to have good and loving relationships?
We all want to be happy, but we do not know how. When we are unhappy, we isolate ourselves. This creates dis-ease in our bodies and we feel cut off from our emotions. Good, loving relationships nourish us; we feel happy, fulfilled and full of energy. This radiates all around and affects everyone else.
3. What is in the way of having good relationships?
Unexpressed emotions from our childhood create negative behaviour patterns and attitudes. Our parents and teachers tell us not to cry or be too exuberant, that you must know your place in society (yarn te loren - law in Sweden). We suppress our basic emotions of fear, anger, pain and love. This makes us more and more isolated. Anything that is suppressed comes out sideways; people who have been appearing happy can suddenly commit suicide or kill someone else.
4. Anything you would like to add?
Your emotions make you feel alive and well in your body. This workshop will help you to create space and freedom by expressing old suppressed feelings. You will accept yourself more and be more authentic in the way you relate. You will grow up emotionally!
